ABOUT US

Learning from the Past – Shifting to the Future

About Us

Indigenous Wisdom Circle Collective Inc.  aka WCC is an Indigenous-owned and led planning, strategy and implementation collective. We pride ourselves on delivering innovative, sustainable, and community-centred solutions. Through our unique two-eyed seeing approach, we blend traditional Indigenous knowledge with modern methods, ensuring culturally respectful and effective outcomes.

Our Mission

To deliver outcomes that respect and preserve cultural integrity while leveraging contemporary methods and strategic partnerships to drive positive change toward self-determination.

Our Vision

Creating a world where First Nation communities thrive, their voices are integral to decision-making processes and their unique needs and values are honoured in pursuing sustainable development and well-being for the next seven generations.

Core Values

  • Integrity
    • We act with honesty, accountability, and respect in all relationships.
    • We honour commitments, speak truthfully, and ensure our actions align with our words.
    • We approach our work with humility, recognizing the responsibility that comes with supporting First Nations and upholding trust built through long-term relationships.

  • Listening
    • We listen with respect, patience, and openness.
    • We create space for voices to be heard, knowledge to be shared, and perspectives to guide our work.
    • We understand that meaningful listening is foundational to trust, strong relationships, and community-led outcomes.

  • Two-Eyed Seeing
    • We embrace Two-Eyed Seeing — learning to see from one eye with the strengths of Indigenous knowledge and from the other with the strengths of Western approaches, for the benefit of all.
    • We respect the distinct value of each perspective and work to bring them together in a way that honours Indigenous worldviews, community priorities, and shared understanding.
    • We recognize that no single perspective has all the answers and that better outcomes come from respecting and integrating diverse knowledge systems.

  • Reciprocity
    • We understand our work as a relationship built on mutual respect, shared responsibility, and benefit.
    • We give back in meaningful ways, honour the knowledge and time shared with us, and ensure our work supports community priorities, capacity, and long-term wellbeing.
    • We approach our partnerships with a commitment to mutual benefit. We recognize that learning from communities carries responsibility, and we strive to ensure our work contributes positively, respectfully, and sustainably beyond project outcomes.
