Frankie Abel (Sii Luu Yee) is a Gitxsan woman, matriarch in training, and Indigenous relations professional dedicated to advancing reconciliation, Indigenous sovereignty, self-governance, and culturally grounded relationship-building across Canada and internationally.

Raised within Indigenous conduct, protocol, and etiquette, Frankie’s work is rooted in relational accountability, respect, and community-centered leadership. Guided by the teaching to listen more than she speaks, she is known for creating spaces where people feel heard, validated, and empowered. Her approach prioritizes trust-building, cultural integrity, and collaboration.

Frankie holds an Executive MBA in Indigenous Business Leadership from Simon Fraser University and an Indigenous Economic Development Certificate from Royal Roads University. Her professional experience spans Indigenous strategic initiatives, cultural safety leadership, community engagement, and cross-sector collaboration within provincial systems and Indigenous communities.

Throughout her career, Frankie has advocated for vulnerable adults, children, and families while supporting Nations in advancing sovereignty, self-determination, and self-government priorities. She has worked alongside hereditary and elected leadership as a trusted advisor on relationship-building, engagement strategy, cultural protocol, and community-informed initiatives.

Frankie has extensive experience coordinating Indigenous engagement sessions, strategic planning discussions, cultural gatherings, partnership development initiatives, and advisory work involving Indigenous leadership, Crown corporations, provincial organizations, and community partners. She is recognized for her ability to navigate complex environments with diplomacy, humility, and a strong commitment to honoring Indigenous laws, values, and ways of being.

A passionate advocate for future generations, Frankie believes strongly in empowering youth and creating opportunities for emerging Indigenous leaders to step into their voices, leadership, and responsibilities within community and governance spaces.
