
Joe Bevan
Joe Bevan is Nisga’a/Tsimshian and a member of the Kitselas First Nation. Joe is a senior Indigenous governance and economic development leader whose work sits at the intersection of energy regulation, First Nations business, and organizational innovation. Based in North Vancouver, he serves on the board of the BC Energy Regulator and chairs its Governance and Human Resources Committee, contributing strategic oversight on talent, culture, and executive performance.
An MBA‑designated professional, Joe combines board‑level experience with hands‑on consulting for British Columbia First Nations, focusing on finance, market analysis, and community‑driven economic development. His background includes work as a marketing contractor in the data analytics sector, where he helps organizations use data to inform strategic decision‑making and improve operational performance.
Joe’s professional interests include Indigenous procurement and reconciliation, forestry markets and sustainable resource development in northwest British Columbia, and the design of innovative, inclusive workplaces. Outside of his governance and consulting roles, he is an active lifelong learner who studies strategic leadership and workplace innovation at Royal Roads University, and enjoys travel, music, and board games such as backgammon.
